Promoting and supporting Amateur Radio use in wilderness environments saves lives, helps promote the activities, increases opportunities for exploration, and supports public safety and emergency communications.
The commitment towards providing help and education towards the best use of Amateur Radio to folks found along the trail, and to other clubs is exactly what the Western Amateur Radio Explorers is all about!
When in the outback, one of the greatest tools that you can carry is your Amateur Radio. With an Amateur Radio license, and a respect for the rules of Part 97, great enjoyment, piece of mind, and safety can be accomplished.
We are now over 30 members strong!
